While you're at it, check out this new review of Flashpoint:
"An adrenaline infused, roller-coaster ride into a future where a belief can cost you a brain-washing and even your life, this science-fiction novel reminds me most of the best of the "Indiana Jones" movies in its pacing and level of excitement."~Michael G. Lail

The Dark Man by Marc Schooley - Reviewed by Eric Wilson: "In the middle of this Ted-Dekker-type action, Schooley engages our hearts with some relational moments, and our minds with some sly, often humorous, jabs about politics and faith."

News from member Paulette Harris:
This was a book signing in Denver, Colorado for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hanson and LeAnn Thieman. These book series sell well over 33,000 each time one comes out. In this case, it was Living Catholic Faith.

Talk about faith. I wrote a story about a miscarried son of Jim and mine. I submitted it three years ago to Guidepost and the story was loved by the editor but the newly hired Jr. editor didn't think it quite fit. I put it in the file drawer and continued on my third novel at the time.

Then, last fall out of the blue, the editor and publisher called me for a contract on this story! I did not ever send this story out to them for consideration, I asked them where they had gotten wind of this and they said they didn't know! Just that they had a copy and wanted to know if I was the author. Well, of course I signed a contract because this publishing company has far more reaching (international) buyers than the previous so I consider this pretty much a miracle and an answer to my writing. One thing I learned.....trust God more that he is in control of my writing and where it goes! And...to keep writing.

Press Release: New Edition of Never Ceese by Sue Dent

RIDGELAND, MS, May 07, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Journey Stone Creations, publishers of the hardback edition of Never Ceese, changed directions and dropped their young adult line. All copies of Never Ceese were subsequently sold to a liquidator. With no hope of receiving revenue, Sue Dent did the only thing she could do.

Sue says, "I put a lot of time, money and energy into getting my debut novel out there, money I didn't have. I had to do something to recover." Having initially self-published her paperback, she decided to re-publish it. "I'm hearing reports that the hardback is missing pages and falling apart. Do understand you won't have that problem with the paperback version."

Sue Dent's 2006 Bram Stoker Short-listed paperback edition, ISBN: 9780976994701, is now available through Ingram and also Ingram/Spring Arbor. "I'm excited about Never Ceese making it past the content submittal process Spring Arbor subjects all books to. Now it's officially available to all Christian booksellers and all general market booksellers as well should they choose to carry it and even if they don't want to carry it."

The paperback sports an updated cover to boot. "Hopefully, this will help distinguish it from the hardback," Ms. Dent says. Never Ceese is available wherever books are sold.

S D Enterprises has secured distribution through all the major channels for the paperback edition of Never Ceese. Anyone can order.

Iron Dragons by Derek Gilbert was published last November as a free "podiobook", an audio book delivered as a podcast, at Podiobooks.com. The average listener rating at Podiobooks and the iTunes Music Store is 4-1/2 stars out of 5. The audio book also received an Honorable Mention in the 2008 Podiobooks.com Founder's Choice Awards for best podiobooks of the year.
User comments at Podiobooks.com (http://www.podiobooks.com/blog/2008/10/13/iron-dragons-book-1-the-saramond-quests/) and the iTunes Music Store include:
  • I really enjoyed this story - Normally I am a Sci Fi fan but I really got into this one. To my surprise and pleasure the author has managed to successfully mix fantasy and Sci Fi technology.
  • I was stumped half way through the tale by the intrusion of Sci-fi on what I originally and completely considered to be a classic fantasy story, but I have to say even though it was a surprise it wasn’t handled badly at all. ... The characters are vibrant and realistic, the pace is good, and for the most part the story is engaging.
  • Interesting first person details on the story telling, with great characters and a great story plot. Highly recommend this story.
